Over the past 6 years, Red Cartel has become Australia’s leading supplier of Virtual Reality content, with our primary clients being advertising agency’s, VR Arcades and direct B2B engagements. Our Virtual Reality portfolio includes clients such as: Red Bull, eBay, Qantas, Cadbury, Shell, Tatts group, Simosity and Metricon
Our highly skilled and specialized staff are experts in Virtual Reality development, specializing in multi-user experiences, utilising the latest hardware and software to create highly immersive and interactive experiences.
Large scale, Free-Roam, Multi-player Virtual Reality Arcade game.
Through use of inside out tracking we were able to achieve a warehouse scale experience and were one of the first in the world to commercially release an experience on this platform. Along with the game itself we developed an on-boarding system called VRAP (Virtual Reality Arena Platform) which allowed users to sign up with accounts which persisted between sessions for easy access when playing again at any venue.
This experience was released through Playtime Haymarket in partnership with TEEG who recently acquired Timezone. It recently completed its trial period which saw 2776 games completed, 477,778 zombie kills and 1,445,705 metres collectively walked in only 4 months.
After 2 years in development, we are proud to have released our first large-scale, free-roam, multi-player Virtual Reality game!
Red Cartel partnered with Simosity to create Epidemic, a zombie infested VR haunted house where you and up to 5 friends attempt to save a little girl before the bombs go off. This 25 minute experience involves jump scares, puzzles, easter eggs and waves of zombies of all shapes and sizes.

We were asked to create a more cost effective representation of the already well known Buzz Insurance brand by recreating the original stop motion / plasticine look using 3D animation.

Photo-realistic VR Property Visualisation
Inspired by the Metricon properties we developed an ultra-realistic property visualization application that allows multiple people to experience a property together in real time. Users can be in the same room together or on opposite sides of the globe and can see each other inside the property (represented as avatars).
Customers can collaborate together to customize flooring, finishes, colours etc. This could be a family sharing the experience or a sales person collaborating with a potential buyer in another country
We identified a lack of ultra high quality Virtual Reality experiences for the property visualization sector and set out to push the boundaries of what is possible to achieve with fully immersive room scale VR.
Our goal was to break through the noise of simple 360 photos/videos and static stereoscopic imagery and produce a world-class property visualization that would allow multiple users to walk through a property together, unconstrained by hotspots and fixed viewing locations.

Multi-Player Virtual Reality Pit stops
We’re incredibly excited to see our VR pit stops come to life. We utilized motion capture to produce animations that were true to a real pit stop. We ramped it up with Nascar making it our first experience with the ability for the user to run around the car.
Launched at multiple motorsport events around the world, Red Cartel created a series of virtual reality pit stop experience for Shell V-Power via the digital agency Traffik.
Users start in a training scenario where they learn how to change the wheels on a racecar, then test their skills under real race conditions at the virtual track– this fast-paced experience provided great training and practice, while pushing out scores to a global scoreboard against players worldwide.

Over the past 4 years, Red Cartel has been heavily involved in supplying commercial and engaging AR content, with our primary clients being advertising agency’s, charities and international product retailers. Liquid Beer Man featured on large screen during a NYE party
Liquid beer man was commissioned by Traffik for Carlton & United Breweries to be displayed on a large scale screen at a New Year’s Eve party in 2018. Liquid beer man danced the night away with a series of motion captured movements combined with hand-animated sequences.
In addition to the beer shader Beer Man had a 3D fluid simulation system that sprayed around as he danced.

Red Cartel produced a series of 3 animated TV commercials for the Shooters Fishers and Farmers party. The TVCs were acclaimed for thier incredibly tight turnaround and animation style.
Early prototype of an Augmneted Reality board game called Tales Of Tross
This was a fun project where we built a simple Proof Of Concept application utilising markerless AR technology to create a prototype of an upcoming Augmented Reality board game called Tales of Tross.
Augmented Reality furniture is a great application of this technology
Utilising the latest Augmented Realtiy technology (ARKit and ARCore) customers can place virtual furniture in their own space to see how it looks prior to purchasing. The precision of AR allows you to see if a selected piece will accuratley fit in your space.
